Karos Online Beta

Equipment upgrades: a preparation and decision guide

Classic Karos enhancement uses scrolls and can destroy an item. Before attempting an upgrade, consider the equipment’s purpose, the conditions shown by the interface and the limit you have set for yourself.

Decide which piece deserves attention

Establish whether an item is temporary or something you expect to use for longer. Look beyond its enhancement number: compare class compatibility, usage requirements and its value in your current quests. Replacing an unsuitable piece may serve your goal better than investing in it.

Treat confirmation as a checklist

Check the item name, current grade, selected scroll and displayed cost. If a protection option is available, read its description and confirm that it is selected. A success rate from a video about another edition is not evidence of the rate used here.

Choose your stopping point in advance

Limit your total materials and number of attempts before you begin. Do not expand that plan impulsively after an unwanted result. Recording each starting state and outcome produces a clearer comparison than trying to remember a long sequence of attempts.

Before you start

  1. Confirm the correct equipment and operation type.
  2. Recheck the displayed conditions and any selected protection.
  3. Record the final item state and the resources consumed.

A starting plan

Build your first upgrade plan around your character’s clearest need. Compare replacement equipment before committing your savings to a piece you may soon stop using. Focus on making your next quests more manageable; a large enhancement number alone does not establish that an item suits your character.
