Frequently asked questions
These are the questions that have come in most often since the application form opened. Answers are kept short; where something needs more detail we link to How to Play and Rules. If your question is not here, the question channel on Discord is the fastest route.
Note that this is a test phase. Dates and settings can change before launch; if they do, we update this page and the announcement channel together.
Will my closed beta character be wiped?
No. There is no wipe. The character, levels and items you earn during the closed beta stay yours after launch. That promise covers launch day and afterwards: no scheduled wipe is planned at any point. Balance settings can still change during the beta, but progress is never part of what gets reset.
Is Karos Online free to play?
Yes. Playing is free and nothing is sold during the closed beta. Applying costs nothing either. The closed beta is not a presale either. Early access is not for sale, the queue cannot be skipped with money, and paying players get no advantage. Download Karos, create an account and play.
When does the closed beta start?
Applications are open now and login unlocks at 13 November 2026 at 20:00 (UTC+3). The countdown on the front page counts to exactly that moment. Times are written in UTC+3. If the date moves we update this page and the announcement channel the same day, so the countdown on the front page is always the value that counts.
I applied but I cannot log in. Why?
Because login is not open yet. There is deliberately no login form on the site; your username and password start working in the game client the moment the gate opens. In other words, nothing is missing on your side. Once the form is accepted your status page says so, and at launch you connect straight from the game client rather than through any page here.
How do I check my application status?
You receive an application key when you submit the form. The status page is opened with that key and no password check is involved, so keep it somewhere safe. If the key is lost you have to write to support and verification is done by hand, which takes time. The practical habit is copying the key during sign-up or mailing it to yourself immediately.
What does Discord confirmation give me?
Confirming your application through the bot doubles your weight in the draw and grants a surprise box at launch. It is optional but clearly worth it. Confirmation is one command: send !dogrula to the bot together with your application code. Linking Discord does not change your place in the queue; it only affects draw weight and the launch box.
Is my account deleted at launch?
No. The account you create when applying is transferred to the live server with your password preserved, and you continue under the same username. The transfer is automatic. There is no second registration form, no password reset and no migration request to file. At the opening hour you connect to the Karos Online private server with the same credentials.
What languages are supported?
The interface is available in eight languages: Turkish, English, German, Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese and Russian. You can switch on the site and in the game. Translation is not limited to menus: quest text, item names and system messages were carried into the same eight languages. Changing language does not affect your character and can be undone at any time.
Will my computer run it?
Almost certainly. Around 4 GB of RAM, a DirectX 9 capable graphics card and a few GB of disk space are enough. Details are on How to Play. Karos is an older title and runs comfortably on an average laptop. In practice the bottleneck is connection stability rather than hardware, which shows up most during crowded Karos PvP events such as castle sieges.
Is this an official server?
No. This is an independent private server project with no affiliation to the official publisher. The game's official history is covered on History in Turkey. Karos, Rosh Online and Son Destan belong to their respective owners and appear here only to identify the game being discussed. Which regional release is which is laid out on Versions.
What data do you collect?
Username, e-mail, language choice, IP address and, if you link it, your Discord identity. Why and for how long is set out on Rules. In-game behaviour logs are kept for cheat review only. They are not used for advertising and are not sold to third parties, and you can have your account deleted by writing to the support address.
What is the difference between this site and Karos Remastered?
Same team, two different angles: this site explains the game and its history, while Karos Remastered documents what was rebuilt on the server. Both sites point at the same server, so whichever one you apply through leads into the same closed beta. The only difference is the register: one reads as reference, the other as a production log.
